Privacy Policy
Wasoolo Tools is built to need as little of your data as possible. No accounts, no tracking cookies, and only aggregate, non-identifying analytics. This page explains exactly what we do and don't collect.
The short version
What we store when you create a link
- The destination URL you entered and the short link we generated for it.
- The time it was created.
- A one-way hash of your IP address (not the IP itself), used only to apply fair-use rate limits and prevent abuse. It cannot be reversed back into your IP.
What we store when a link is clicked
- A running total of clicks and a per-day count.
- The host name of the referring site (for example facebook.com) — never the full referring URL, and never anything that identifies the visitor.
We do not store raw IP addresses of visitors, do not set advertising or analytics cookies, and do not build profiles of people who click your links.
Your "My links" history
The list of links you've created is saved in your browser's local storage on your device only. It is never sent to or stored on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes the list (the short links themselves keep working for everyone).
Cookies
We set no tracking or advertising cookies. The tool may use your browser's local storage purely to remember your own links, as described above.
Data retention
Abuse-prevention records (hashed IPs and rate-limit timestamps) are short-lived and routinely pruned. Aggregate click counters are kept at a non-identifying, daily granularity so your link stats remain available.
Sharing & security
We don't sell or rent your data. We validate destinations and block internal or known-malicious addresses to keep shared links safe. The site is served over HTTPS only.
Removal & abuse reports
To report a harmful link or request removal of a link you created, email help@wasoolo.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Continued use of the tool means you accept the current version.
